Text translation and the complete photo catalog cover 59 languages. Live voice translation supports 29 languages. Standard on-device photo availability is filtered by the language pairs supported by Apple Vision and Apple Translation on your device.
Text, live voice, cloud speech playback, and PRO photo translation require internet access. Standard photo translation can work offline after the required Apple language model has been downloaded; the first model download requires a connection.
Standard mode recognizes, translates, and composes the image entirely on your device and does not upload the photo or recognized text. PRO mode uploads an optimized image after a clear confirmation so cloud services can preserve more of the original layout; final composition is completed on your device.
Camera access is used only to capture content you choose to translate. The system photo picker provides only the image you select. Microphone access is required only for live voice translation. You can change permissions in iOS Settings.
Text translation and Standard photo translation do not require an account. Live voice, PRO photo translation, purchases, and restoring entitlements require you to sign in with email and password or Sign in with Apple.
The current free allowance includes 5 live minutes and 2 PRO photos per month. The 14-day pass includes 60 live minutes and 30 PRO photos. Monthly includes 120 live minutes and 100 PRO photos; annual includes 900 live minutes and 800 PRO photos. The App Store and in-app purchase screen show the controlling current offer.
Use Restore Purchases on the purchase screen to restore eligible App Store purchases. Manage or cancel an auto-renewing subscription in your Apple account settings. To delete your Atom Translate account and associated data, open Settings, Account, then Delete Account and Data. Deleting the account does not cancel an App Store subscription.
Email support with the app version, selected languages, feature used, and steps to reproduce. Do not send sensitive source text, audio, or photos unless they are necessary for the investigation and you are authorized to share them.
